Step 2:

Accomplish more by doing less through minimalist goal-setting

Why is it important?

It is so much going on in our everyday life that it is difficult not to feel overwhelmed. It has two major effects on our lives. First, it creates a constant feeling of anxiety and stress, which affect our physical and mental well-being. Second, constant distraction, split attention and sense of urgency do not allow us take a step back and see a bigger picture. What do I care about? Am I heading the right direction?

How is it now?

You might have some clarity about the goals for the year in course. But your goals are not too specific and not really quantifiable, which makes measuring your success at the end of the year nearly impossible. You also feel distracted by trying to achieve too many things.

Although you might be even at the other extreme. Did you set any specific goals for this year?

How could it be?

Have a clear understanding of what is important for you - short and long term, in your professional and personal life.

  • Define fewer goals and visualize how a success would look like for each of them.

  • Develop an action plan and a system for tracking it: steps, outcomes and deadlines.

  • Learn how to align all your daily tasks to projects and projects to specific goals.
